Make a Wish at The St. Regis Punta Mita
In a partnership with the Make a Wish Foundation, The St. Regis Punta Mita is seeing that the wish one young man comes true. Ian Sabastián Batista, has been battling cancer of the eye for nearly half of his seven years and is currently in recovery after two years of chemotherapy. Having lived in the desert state of Chihuahua (located in the Northern/Central part of Mexico) all his life, Ian’s greatest wish has been to see the ocean. When Carl Emberson, the general manager of The St. Regis Punta Mita heard of Ian’s story, he was immediately committed to making Ian’s wish come true. Read the full article >>
The St Regis Punta Mita Resort is proud of its partnership with two organizations that are leading the way in the field of community service here in this small part of Mexico: “PEACE mexico” and “The Punta De Mita Foundation”.
PEACE mexico
PEACE envisions a peaceful co-existence between human beings and natural treasures, between foreigners and locals, between those who can give and those who need assistance, between progress and preservation.
PEACE works hand in hand with communities in Mexico to provide holistic education combined with community action programs that enable people to improve their quality of life as well as their financial stability.
Therefore, we at the St Regis Punta Mita Resort, are proud to be able to help provide the means for staff and volunteers to better environmental and animal conditions and improve education and business opportunities for entire families and communities.
PEACE has exciting new goals for the year ahead and they say tat it would be their pleasure to give anyone a tour of the Casa Campesina in Punta de Mita so that they can see their programs in action. “We are always proud to show off our facility and have our supporters see their donation dollars at work!”

The Punta De Mita Foundation
The Punta de Mita Foundation has been created to serve the greater region of Punta de Mita, enhancing the quality of life for the people and communities in this area. It is a resident-led, community-based organization dedicated to assisting the communities of Punta de Mita to become good places to live, do business, work and raise families.
Its focus mainly lies in education, health, economic development and the environment, while its strategy is to identify social needs, ally with non-profit organizations, community groups and/or experts.
Currently, The Punta De Mita foundation has been working on a number of projects including School’s roof repairs, Elder´s house refurbishment, and constructing a brand new Sports Center.
As a result, we here at the St Regis Punta Mita Resort are incredibly proud to have contributed almost $50 000 this year alone to this wonderful foundation.

Boys And Girls Country
Boys and Girls Country was established in 1971 as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit charitable Home. Their children are primarily from the greater Houston area. They are located 35 miles northwest of Houston. Boys and Girls Country has capacity to serve 48 boys and 40 girls, ages 5-18, a total of 88 children at any one time. Not included in this number are 78 others each year who are still a part of our Home after they have graduated from high school and gone on to college, trade school, the military, or first jobs. They have been home for over 1,200 children during their history. Boys and Girls Country does not rely on federal or state grants for ongoing support and is not a United Way member agency. We look to caring individuals, businesses, civic groups, churches, and foundations in the community for annual funding and volunteer support. We are committed to serve children who need our Home. No child is turned away because their family does not have money to pay for them.
The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort are proud to have supported this charitable home by providing generous support as a charity auction donor for the 2011 Heritage Award Dinner, their largest annual fundraising event, that raised nearly $1.7 million in financial support to provide children a house, a family and hope.

The St. Regis Punta Mita Donates 20 bags of Linen for San Pancho Hospital

GM Carl Emberson, Ricardo, Catherine, Rooms Director Nicolas Cejas, House Keeping Executive Ericka Elias and team donate 20 bags of linens

San Pancho Hospital, Nayarit
On Wednesday, January 9th 2013, The St. Regis Team was proud to deliver more than 20 bags of linens for donation to San Pancho Hospital. This public government run Hospital services the towns of Punta Mita, Sayulita, Higuera Blanca and San Pancho- being the only hospital in the area. It has been in much need of equipment, including medical and general supplies so Catherine and Ricardo (amazing charity organizers from the area) contacted us for help and we were happy to donate to them. These linens go directly to the hospital alongside other donations from hotels and local people.
